The Sims Lot Build Ramblings

I’ve been a long time fan of The Sims franchise and I never thought seventeen years later I would still be playing. I use to sit and watch my Dad play The Sims and from watching him I picked up how to play and then started playing the game myself. There was just something about it that kept my attention and from then on I was hooked.

My first build on The Sims was a very small square house for the Newbie family. It was hideously decorated and just not big enough for two Sims. I did however have my sights set on the mansion which I eventually bought and the first thing I built was an indoor pool/gym and as a result wasted all my money (this was before I discovered the joys of Rosebud and !;!;!;) Also the build music in The Sims was awesome. It brings back some good memories! There is a whole playlist on Youtube of music from The Sims. Check it out here!

Fast forward to 2017 where I am currently playing The Sims 4. I’ve found this game the easiest to build in and turn my ideas into something other than just some idea in my head.

I use to share the majority of my builds on Tumblr but I slowly stopped doing that. I guess this was because around this time I started struggling with builds and basically decided to take a break from the game for a while.

The break didn’t last for too long and I was back building and ready to start sharing them again. For the most part now I upload my builds to The Sims 4 Gallery and share them on Twitter.

There is however one build I have created recently that has just inspired me to start building more and more. I’ve pushed my boundries and gone out of my comfort zone with this build and I’m actually really proud of it. It’s different and also takes some inspiration from The Urbz: Sims In The City. This build is called The Urban Salt Gym.

The build it’s self features a variety of objects from across the majority of downloadable content including the brand new Fitness Stuff Pack. It comes complete with a gym, coffee bar, rockclimbing wall, outdoor swimming, childrens play area and much much more. You can download it now from The Sims 4 Gallery using the name LeeksEverywhere.
