The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs expansion pack releases in the UK at 11pm tonight and I am extremely excited for others to finally get the chance to play the expansion. The Sims Unleashed was one of the first ever expansions that I bought for The Sims franchise and I have been a fan of the Pets themed packs since! I was overwhelmed and incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to play the Cats & Dogs expansion ahead of its official release.

This blog post is just a quick look at the expansion. I’ve played a few hours of the expansion so far but I still feel as though I have so much more to explore.

First I wanted to share a few screenshots of the world of Brindleton Bay first. I really love how the team have created this world. Brindleton Bay is beautiful and there is so much detail and little accents that make it one of my favourite worlds so far. There are plenty of places to take great screenshots and showcase the different areas which is purrfect for story tellers!

So far in game I’ve created a new family which I moved into a house in Brindleton Bay and I’ve created a Huskey called Turtle and adopted a Bengal cat called Kerri who, I’ve aged up from a kitten. I’m still exploring all the different things you can do with Pets and the different interactions they have with different objects and Sims and I still have loads to discover yet.

I’ve only just bought my very first Vet Clinic and I’m just starting to explore the Vet Career its self but I am super excited to start getting my own little Vet Clinic up and running. It reminds me of playing The Sims 2 Apartment Pets on Nintendo DS. I still have lots to learn as to how to run the best Vet Clinic in Brindleton Bay but I’m sure I’ll get there.

The new Create-A-Pet feature is amazing! There are so many possibilities to create the perfect companion and I love how you can dress up your pets as well. Dragon Cat is one of my favourites so far! The pet traits really do help bring your Pets personalities to life as well.

As for Build/Buy mode there are lots of new objects (including a laser pointer and Roomba!), new lot traits and build mode items too which I know will help me build some new lots themed around Brindleton Bay.

Overall I’m really enjoying The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs and can’t wait to get fully stuck into the game and discover what else this pack has to offer. Again I am incredibly grateful for EA giving me the opportunity to play The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Early Access version.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs is released on 10th November 2017 and you can purchase the expansion pack from Origin now!
