EGX Rezzed 2018: What I’m Looking Forward To

This year will mark my third year attending EGX Rezzed in London and with the event being just under four weeks away I can’t wait. This year’s event is again being held at the famous Tobacco Dock between the 13th and 15th April and is in partnership with Virgin Fibre, Argos and Unreal Engine as well as many more incredible partners including Sega, Twitch, Insert Coin, Gaming The Mind, Check Point and many more. EGX Rezzed is also part of the London Games Festival as well which runs throughout early April.

I first found out about EGX Rezzed when I was searching for something to do for my brothers birthday in 2016. It may have been about six weeks early but he had mentioned about going to a gaming event and EGX Rezzed felt the perfect start. Needless to say, he loved it and also just being able to visit London.  EGX Rezzed was the first gaming event that I had ever attended as too and I’m glad I finally attended an event myself.

There’s just so much about the event that I love. The atmosphere, the vast variety of games, the venue, the amount of amazing indie games, just everything! I really enjoyed being able to try out games before their actual release, talk to the team behind the games and discover games that I wouldn’t normally go for or even knew existed.

For this years EGX Rezzed I am excited to try out even more new games. Ooblets, Shu, Everspace and Iconoclasts are a few I want to check out for definite but I will try to see and try out as many games as I can. The Leftfield Collection is another aspect of the event that I love checking out as well. Rezzed Sessions and the Careers Bar is also another aspect of the event that my brother and I try to check out and sit in on various talks from developers and others in the gaming industry.

Overall though the previous two years I have attended I’ve had so much fun at the event and I always look forward to it. I am hoping that I’ll also be able to attend EGX in Birmingham later this year but that currently depends on if I can get the time off work.

You can find out more about EGX Rezzed and purchase tickets here. I will also have a handful of blog posts up after attending the event sharing what I got up to. Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram too!
