Something a little bit different today on the blog. I’ve recently had two developers reach out to me about their games asking me to take a look at them. Of course I was intriugied so I did just that. Now both of these games are expected out in 2019 and both look very promising. Take a look below and see what you think.
Ary and the Secret of Seasons – Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC
Ary and the secret of seasons is an adventure game introducing the possibility to navigate between all the seasons.
In this epic story, you will follow the journey of Ary across the world of Valdi. This young girl will join the guardians of seasons, an old organization traditionally ruled by men. As a new season’s guardian, her self-control and courage will lead her where no other guardian has been, and she will successfully restore the seasons in Valdi.
The first things I did was check out the teaser trailer for the game and I was blown away. The art style, graphics, the use of seasons in this short forty-second video had me hooked. Wanting to know more about the game I took the time to read up about Aryelle, the world of Valdi, the Guardians of Seasons and of course the Prince.
The game looks lovely in so many different ways and the small introductions to some of the characters really gets you thinking as to what lays ahead for them in the epic story that has been created. I’m definitely going to be following the development of this game and will more than likely pick it up once it has been released.

Island – PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS
A roleplay and strategy game where you play as a castaway in the eighteen century. Inspired by Daniel Defoe’s “Robinson Crusoe” and Jules vernes’ “L’île mystérieuse” (Mysterious Island) style and setting, and carefully crafted by a tabletop GM, the rules of the game are designed so you, the player, can quickly take the game in hand, and is then quickly offered a punishing challenge.
Island is being developed by the french devlopers Wanderers and they are currently holding a Kickstarter campaign for the game. The game is currently being developed by Nicolas and Carine alongside four other team members from accross the globe. The kickstarter goes into so much detail about what to expect from the game, different game modes, features and more. The team are currently about 30% of the way there for the PC version of the game.
For me, the game is really interesting and I’ve always found my self-going back to a variety of survival and castaway inspired games over the years. Recently I’ve been looking for something which puts a bit of a twist on the normal/traditional survival games and castaway games. The Kickstarter for Island is full of more details about the game and also more details about what the different tiers of the Kickstarter are.

So why not take a look at both of the games and show the developers some support by giving them a follow on Twitter, keep up with their development and spread the word about both of these promising games.
