It’s Nearly That Time

Where has 2018 gone? We are fast approaching that time of year where we will see a variety of highly anticipated games being released and like many others, I am incredibly excited for some that are due to be released in the near future. Here are a few of the games that I’m looking forward to playing over the coming months.

Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu/Lets Go Eevee

I’m really not going to lie. I was somewhat sceptical about this new game when it was first announced but the more that has been shared about the game the more I can’t wait to play it. Although it is not part of the main storyline franchise it is still a welcomed addition to the franchise and of course will be the first big Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch. Also as it is focused/inspired by Pokémon Yellow game I feel that will draw a lot of people who played that game towards Lets Go Pikachu/Lets Go Eevee. The integration of features from Pokémon Go and also the option to play with a second player is a great idea. I really am looking forward to the game’s release later this year!

Fallout 76

I’m actually liking the approach Bethesda have for the next instalment in the Fallout franchise. the more information that is revealed about the game the more I want to play the game. I use to be really unsure about the Fallout games but when I finally got stuck into Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4 I realized just how much I really enjoy the games and I am certain Fallout 76 will be no different especially with the new multiplayer features that are coming with the game.

Destiny 2:  Forsaken

I didn’t get on too well with the first Destiny game and although I enjoyed it overall I never really had the friends to play it with. Destiny 2 however changed that and I had a great group of friends to play the game with. Although I’m still yet to finish parts of the current downloadable content but, I am so excited for the next chapter of Destiny 2. Although it involves Cayde 6 who I have found such an amazing character I’m certain that Bungie will pull out all the stops in Forsaken. Also seeing the recently released Dreaming City trailer for Forsaken makes me even more excited for the new content next month.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Controversy about only the first game being on the disc and the second and third games being a digital download to one side but I am really freaking excited for Spyro! I loved the games when I was younger and I honestly just feel like a big kid right now. In all honesty, I felt the same about Crash Bandicoot coming out. It’s refreshing for the franchise and also introduces so many more people to the games many of us loved as children!

There are so many games that I could share but these are just four that I am looking forward to. Also, let me know what games you are looking forward to being released over the next few months in the comments or on Twitter!

    1. It was so hard to narrow it down to just four games for this post. Assassin’s Creed is another I’m looking forward to as well. There’s just so many really coming out over the next few months but I’m excited to try them all 😀
