I wanted to do a little something different with this blog post and just write a little about my blogging journey so far and talk about a few of the things I’ve learnt along the way.
Even though I’ve been blogging for just over a year now I still feel very new to blogging as a whole. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve really started to feel that this is more than something I do when I get home from work to relax.
I’ve mentioned this a couple of times before but prior to creating this blog, I had another blog. I hadn’t thought it through properly, it was very rushed and in all honesty, it was a bit of a mess. Looking back at it now I’ve realized not only have I learnt from that experience but I also felt that it wasn’t really me.
As I was planning to create this blog I had notes everywhere. What I wanted to do, names, post ideas, photo ideas and just so many more scribbles. I wanted it properly thought through and not to be as all over the place as before. One thing I did want to make sure of is that at no point that it felt fake or that I wasn’t staying true to the reasons why I created the blog in the first place.
I’ve learnt a few things over the year and there is still so much more to learn. When I started I used to feel nervous about what others would think about my blog as a whole, my content and just in general. It wasn’t until one day after having a lengthy conversation with a friend that I had a moment where I realized that I don’t need to be nervous about what others think about my blog or content. I just need to be myself, write and any feedback that I recieved I can act on that and make improvements where needed.
Another thing that I was terrible at doing to start with was comparing myself to other blogs. This links into what I was talking about in the previous paragraph a little bit. Every blogger is on their own journey and we are all at different points on that journey. I am proud of how far I have come and there are many bloggers who I admire and that I am inspired by.
The last thing that I want to mention in this is don’t be scared to reach out or to start networking and talking to other bloggers or even interacting and sharing your blog on the likes of Twitter, Instagram and other social media. There are many wonderful bloggers out there who will answer any questions you have, give you advice and feedback and just be there if you want to talk.
I’m really proud of how far I have come so far on my blogging journey and I know it’s far from over and that there is so much more in store for me. Not only that I have made some amazing friends who have supported me and I have done the same in return. Again I still have so much more to learn and I’m excited to see what that will be but who knows what the future holds.
This started off and intended on being a short little blog post and it went on to become a little bit longer than planned. I hope that you enjoyed reading it as it is a little bit different to what I would normally share but it is sometimes nice to try something a little different.
🙂 Thank you for sharing your blogging journey with me.
And, I also wish that your blog becomes a successful one.

Thanks for sharing 🙂 This is absolutely a healthy mindset to have while blogging. Comparing to others is never a great idea unless you’re in it for business. The most wonderful blogs I follow are personal ones. It’s a beautiful wide world out there and I love reading personal takes on things from all walks of life 🙂 Maybe your blogging journey continue and may it bring you peace and happiness.
