My Month In Gaming: June

I’ll keep this short and sweet. June has been a super busy month for me. Everything seems to have been happening over these last few weeks. We had EA PLAY and E3 back at the start of the month which revealed some amazing new games coming over the next few months. Honestly, I am very excited about many of the games that are coming in the near future! Without further ado, let’s jump in and have a look back at June.

The Sims 4: Island Living

The Sims team revealed that Island Living would be the next expansion pack joining The Sims 4 family back at EA PLAY earlier this month. Honestly, I was excited when it was announced. I have fond memories of The Sims on Holiday/Vacation from the first installment of the franchise as well as The Sims 2 Bon Voyage. After hearing very mixed things about The Sims 3 Island Paradise and also my own experience with the expansion I had a small bit of worry in the back of my mind about The Sims 4 Island Living.

Oh, how I was wrong!

I have been absolutely blown away with The Sims 4 Island Living expansion pack and still discovering so much more each time I play. I know it has only really been out for just under a week but I have spent so much time the last few days playing and exploring Sulani with my Sims.

Golf Story

I picked Golf Story up during the recent Nintendo Switch sale alongside another couple of games as well. I’ve only played about four or five hours so far but Golf Story isn’t your typical golf game. There is more to it and with the added story it makes everything come together perfectly. To be honest I have spent a lot of time just playing golf and not really progressing with the story too much but at the same time still having loads of fun.

Destiny 2

I jumped back on Destiny 2 a couple of weeks ago after picking up the Annual Pass on sale.  The last time I played I wasn’t too far through the Forsaken content. I’ve now nearly finished that and I’ve been playing some Gambit too (terribly I must admit) and generally just going around doing random missions here and there in the different worlds.

I’m not too sure what July is going to look like other than it’s going to be another super busy month. I’m looking forward to hopefully being able to play Super Mario Maker 2 as well as Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled. I really want to try and go through my backlog of games at some point and actually make a point of playing through some of them or even just decide on a place to start.

That’s it for this month’s My Month In Gaming post. I’ll catch you all soon!

  1. My husband played Golf Story a while back and he loved it! I’m glad you’re enjoying it as well!

I’m so happy you like Island Living! I play on console, so I have to wait a bit longer, but I’m glad so I can read reviews like yours and decide whether or not to buy it. After reading your comments about it, I can’t wait! ❤

I want to go and play Destiny 2 again so badly. My friends and I stopped most of the way through Forsaken and I've wanted to go back (they're not interested enough though). Is the annual pass worth it so far?

My husband is super excited for Crash Team Racing. Super Mario Maker 2 he is pretty excited about as well. Thank you for reminding me of what to budget for! XD
