Reflections & Twenty-Twenty

I’ll admit that at the end of November I thought I had a pretty good plan of how December was going to go. While some of that plan played out as expected I wasn’t fully prepared for how non-stop things were going to be. Compared to this time last year, things are somewhat different. However, I wouldn’t want to change how my December played out even if it did mean I didn’t have time to write up many new posts. I’ve actually enjoyed stepping back a little bit over the festive period and focusing more on relaxing after work, catching up with family and friends and actually sitting down and playing some games.

I’ve also had some time to sit and reflect on this past year. While it has been a year full of challenges and self-development, I’ve made numerous amazing memories throughout the year. I’m incredibly proud of how this little blog has progressed again over the past twelve months and I can’t wait to see what adventures twenty-twenty take me on!

At this time of year, I like to set myself some blogging/video game-related goals to work towards over the next twelve months.

  • Don’t be afraid of creating content that is different. If you are proud of it publish it!
  • Start working through the video game backlog.
  • Engage and talk with other bloggers.
  • Start using my Tumblr on a regular basis to share gameplay photos from The Sims 4.
  • Be happy!

I have a few more goals that I have written down separately but they tie into a few more personal goals that I have as well. All of the goals I have mentioned above are ones that are easily achievable (okay, let’s be honest maybe not so much the backlog one but making a start is still a step in the right direction) and I’m sure throughout the year I’ll add more to the list as I complete others.

With the start of a new year and a new decade just a few days away, I’m excited to see what twenty-twenty has in store for me. There are many more new video game releases on the horizon and I’ve got a few more ideas of projects/content I want to work on throughout the year as well.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported not only my blog but also myself over the past twelve months. I’ve really do appreciate your continued support and I hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
