I’ve been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons since launch day and it has honestly been such a lovely experience so far and easily my most played game of the year so far. I’m enjoying creating my Island (slowly but surely) as well as hanging out and exploring each other’s Islands with my friends.

What is your Island Called? Why did you pick that name?

My island is called Minooo. I actually toyed with so many different ideas in the run-up to Animal Crossing New Horizons launch and I just hated them so much. I ended up using an island name generator to come up with the name. It was the first choice that came up and it just felt like the right name to choose.

What Hemisphere did you choose? Is it the hemisphere you are actually in?

I chose to stick with having my island in the Northern hemisphere as this is where I’m located. I thought about having my Island in the Southern hemisphere but decided against it in the end.

Who is your current favourite Resident? Who would be your ultimate dream Resident?

It’s so hard to pick just one but I have to say Pinky is my current favourite resident. She is always so happy to see me and loves talking to me. Jakey is a close second too. As for my ultimate dream Resident, I would love to have Stitches on my Island because she just seems adorable and really unique but I would also be happy with Kiki, Raymond, Bob or Coco.

What can you not do on your Island that you wish you could?

I really wish we could create our own ramps by using the Island Designer app. Maybe have one or two options within the app and then anything bigger or fancier you would have to go and see Tom Nook.

Favourite Season in-game and why?

I’d have to go with Autumn which is also my favourite season in real life. It’s not too hot or too cold. The leaves have started to fall, it’s time to dig out some super cosy jumpers and have numerous movie nights snuggled up with a blanket.

If you played New Leaf, what do you, miss from that game that you wish had been taken across to New Horizons?

Although I played Animal Crossing New Leaf, I never truly experienced everything that the game had to offer. I think that was mainly due to not really knowing what I was supposed to do as well as not knowing anyone else who played New Leaf.

If I had to choose something though I would like to see more of the Happy Home Academy in-game other than the weekly ratings that we get.

Favourite KK Slider song?

I might be biased but Bubblegum.

Favourite Non-Resident Character?

Celeste! There is just something magical and mysterious about her.
