April has continued to be a very peculiar month but some aspects seem to feel a little more normal than before. Ultimately, I’ve been taking each day as it comes and tried to stay productive and positive as best as I can which has been helping keep things a little bit normal. I’ll be honest I haven’t played a huge variety of games this past month other than the two I mention in this post. I’ve spent a bit of time decluttering and tidying up my gaming collection as it was starting to get a little out of hand although it’s somewhat more organized than before now.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
I’ve been slowly making my way through the game and from what I have played so far I’m thoroughly enjoying it. In regards to the main storyline, I want to say I’m about halfway through but I’ve also spent a lot of time exploring and doing a lot of side quests. This is the first time I’ve experienced the world of Final Fantasy VII and prior to the release of the remake, I had only heard great things about it. I was really unsure whether to start with the original or the remake to start with but I know I will definetly be playing through the original as well which I’m planning on doing soon.
Animal Crossing New Horizons
It’s easy to say that for the majority of April, this game has occupied a lot of my time. Exploring and continuing to create my Island. Visiting my friend’s islands, attempting to terraform and aim for that five-star island rating. I could say a lot about Animal Crossing New Horizons but I honestly would be here all day and probably end up with a fair few screenshots too. It really has been the best way to relax and escape for a few hours each day as well as catching up with friends along the way too.
I’m not too sure how May is going to play out at the moment. There are a few releases at the end of May I’m looking into although I am currently torn between The Bioshock Collection for Nintendo Switch and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. I’m not sure If I’ll be purchasing one of them around launch time or if I’ll be renting them from Boomerang Games at the moment but there are still a few weeks to decide.
I’m also incredibly excited for the new Assassin’s Creed game that was revealed earlier today. I didn’t really get on too well with the last couple of Assassin’s Creed games but I’m excited to see what Valhalla has to offer over the next few months.
Let me know what you think of the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla trailer!
