I can’t say that much has happened during the past month for me. Its been a rather quiet month where I’ve found myself going to work, coming home and playing games for an hour or so here and there. While it’s not a bad thing, it’s been nice to take some time to focus on a few other things as well as watching Spirited Away on Netflix a handful of times.
With that being said, here are the games I did play over the last month!
Pokémon Sword & Shield: Isle of Armor
I was a little bit on the fence as to when I was going to pick up the season pass however from the few hours I have played so far it’s been a nice addition to the game for me. I felt like the initial start of the Isle of Armor content was a little easy and I was vastly overpowered which I was able to sort out easily but other than that I just need to sit down and explore the rest of the Isle of Armor.
The Last of Us Part II
I told myself I wasn’t going to play The Last of Us Part II until I finished I had played through the first one but I caved. I saw it drop onto my Boomerang Games rental list and requested it. While I haven’t fully played through the first game as of yet I am aware of how the story plays out. I’m about five hours into the game so far and oh my goodness what a ride it has been so far! I’m taking the game slowly as I want to take as much of the game in as possible and explore as much as I can along the way but overall I am loving the game so much! I will definetly be playing the first game at some point before revisiting Part II.
A good friend of mine has also started documenting their experience with The Last of Us Part II as their new Let’s Play series over on YouTube! Check out their video below.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle
The latest The Sims 4 Expansion Pack is here and I’ve really enjoyed taking on a new eco-living approach with my Sims. At first, I was a little unsure as to what to expect from the expansion pack but since playing there is so much more to the pack then what you initially see. Despite the bugs and glitches, it’s been great fun jumping back into the game again.
Pokémon Café Mix
I’ve just downloaded Pokémon Café Mix to my phone and Nintendo Switch and have only played the game a little bit so far but it’s been nice to jump into a new puzzle game. I can’t say I’m far enough into the game to give a true reflection on it at the moment but I can say I’m having fun playing it.
While I haven’t spent as much time as I originally thought I would do playing any games this past month, it’s somewhat been nice to just play here and there and not rush through any games. As for July, I’m not really sure where the month will take me. I’m planning to continue working through the games I’ve started recently and complete those if I can before starting any others and I’m also planning on spending a bit more time with Animal Crossing New Horizons as I have neglected my island a fair bit recently.
What are you looking forward to in July?
