The Hallotober Tag

Ahh October, we meet again!

October is one of my favourite months of the year for a number of reasons. Not only is it my birthday month but it also means I can start digging out my cosy jumpers again and spend my evenings wrapped up in a blanket watching Netflix or playing a game.

I came across the Hallotober Tag a few days ago on Twitter and loved the idea behind it and decided it would be a great way to kick off October.

1. What’s your favourite thing about October?

Digging out all of my cosy jumpers, snuggling up on the sofa with a giant blanket, my birthday.

2. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween?

Yes and no. Some years I’ve really gotten into the Halloween spirit but then some years I’ve not really gotten into as much.

3. What’s your favourite horror movie?

I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest horror movie person but if I had to pick one I would choose Carrie. 

4. Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in a costume?

 Cosy night in!

5. Which has been your most favourite costume to date?

I tend to stick to being a witch normally for Halloween if I dress up but one year my best friend and I dressed up as Zombie School Girls. It was a very spur of the moment decision but we somehow managed to pull a somewhat decent outfit together.

6. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch?

Bobbing for apples.

7. How do you celebrate Halloween?

Honestly, I usually end up working Halloween so I usually get home and watch a movie with some snacks or play games with my friends.

8. What’s your least favourite horror?

I can’t say I really have one.

9. Do you have a favoruite trick or treating memory?

I was never allowed to go trick or treating when I was younger due to living on a main road. I would usually just attend any Halloween parties that were being run by my Brownies/Guides group was having.

10. What’s your favourite thing about Halloween?

There’s so much. Halloween movies, the sweets, decorations, and the occasional dressing up. I also love getting ready for Autumn in the run-up to Halloween. Picking up new candles, snuggling under blankets with a movie, cosy jumpers and so much more.

11. Scary costume or silly costume?

 Hmm.. this is a tough one but I would have to say silly over scary.

12. What’s your favourite Halloween candy?

 Cadbury Scream Eggs!

13. Ghost Decorations or skeleton decorations?

 Ghosts.
