Let’s Rewind: February

February seems to have flown by so quickly. It really doesn’t feel like we are about to head into March. I can’t really say I have done much in the way of gaming this month due to my hand injury, but I have managed to catch up on some things on Netflix that I’ve wanted to watch as well as reading some more of my ever-growing book collection.

I did manage to play a few games here and there so let’s check them out!

Animal Crossing New Horizons

I haven’t been doing a lot in Animal Crossing other than building up me Bells ahead of the upcoming Super Mario and Sanrio in game collaborations. I did manage to complete the Festivale event which was good fun, and I’ve been using those items to make a new area on my Island. It’s not quite done, but it’s getting there.

Genshin Impact

I’ve been toying with playing Genshin Impact for a while now and finally decided to download it and check it out. Although I haven’t been able to play much so far, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played. I still feel in over my head as there’s a lot to learn and understand about the game and different characters however, I’m looking forward to when I can sit down properly and explore the game once my injury has healed a bit more.

The Sims 2

I decided to take a trip back in time and reinstall The Sims 2. After tweaking a few bits in the files I finally got it working. It’s been an experience playing one of my favourite games again for the first time in years. The memories of when I used to play and the nostalgic feeling have been wonderful the last few weeks. I can’t wait to see what chaos lies ahead for my Sim next!

I mentioned at the start of this post that I had been reading a few more books. Most recently I’ve been reading Death Stranding: The Official Novelization – Volume 1, which I’ve really been enjoying. I’m nearly finished with it and will be moving onto Day Zero: A Watch Dogs: Legion Novel. I did previously start this book, but I was too impatient with wanting to start reading the Death Stranding Novel, but a fresh start will be nice.

As for March, I can’t say I’ve got much planned at the moment. I’m hoping to be able to get back to playing through some of the games in my backlog soon, but we’ll have to wait and see!

What games are you looking forward to playing?

  1. I haven’t been playing AC:NH in forever and Genshin Impact I have downloaded and installed but also haven’t touched… The Sims 2 though! I could spend hours playing that and not feel bored… I may visit this as my nostalgia throwback now. In my opinion, TS2 had the best storyline characters (like Nervous Subject, heh). Hope your hand is feeling better Leeks!
