Let’s Rewind: October

As I’m sat here writing this post, I’m actually struggling to recall what I’ve actually been up to this past month, although, it has been a pretty busy month overall, so I’m not really surprised. Even though it has been busy, it’s been productive too! I’ve managed to catch up with some friends and family, as well as getting through a big chunk of my to-do list. I also started reading DUNE after seeing it at the cinema recently, added some more games to my collection and still haven’t made much progress through the backlog.

This will be a bit of a shorter recap post, as for the most part I’ve spent the month hopping around different games trying to figure out what I’ve really wanted to play.

I’ve recently started playing Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which my parents kindly bought me for my birthday recently. I’ve only played a couple of hours so far, so it’s still pretty early days overall. I am looking forward to how the game and story plays out, as it seems pretty interesting so far.

Animal Crossing New Horizons

Like many, I’ve slowly been getting back into Animal Crossing New Horizons ahead of the next update and of course Happy Home Paradise expansion. My main plan at the moment is organizing my island. The sheer number of weeds and out of control flowers is a lot, and even though I’m making slow progress clearing them, it never seems to end. At least not at this point anyway!

My other task is to try and pay off my loan to Tom Nook so that I can have a bigger house, as currently I have items scattered all over the place on my Island. Admittedly the extra space will just be a storage room for the time being, but that’s okay. Nook Miles is another thing I’m saving up at the moment. I’ve got around thirty thousand, so hopefully that will be a good start for acquiring some of the new options when the update arrives next week.

I’ll be jumping onto my Island later today to join in the Halloween fun with my villagers, but I did manage to squeeze in a quick little photoshoot last night while I was tidying up some flowers.

I shared a small Island Tour last week over in my latest The Animal Crossing Diaries post that you can find here.

Other than Animal Crossing New Horizons and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, I’ve spent a lot of time playing The Sims 4. Now this comes as no surprise to many of you I’m sure at this point. Over the last few months, I’ve been creating more content about The Sims 4 over on Sims Community, and I’ve been having an absolute blast! Being able to explore more ways to play and even just expanding my own game with custom content, mods, poses and more has been great fun and I can’t wait to continue creating more content for The Sims 4.

As for November, well I’m not too sure how it’s going to play out. There are a lot of different things happening and to be honest I think I’m just going to go with the flow and see how things go.

Gaming wise, there is plenty happening! With Forza Horizon 5, Unpacking, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Pokémon Shining Pearl, Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, Battlefield 2042 and many more games releasing this month, there will be plenty to keep not only myself but everyone busy!

Which new game releases are you looking forward to playing in November?
