Snapshot Reflections

I’ll be honest, this last year has been just as weird and unpredictable as the year before. Full of ups and downs, plenty of adventures and challenges, but it has definitely been a fun and interesting year over all.

Having spent the last couple of weeks trying to survive in the retail Christmas rush, fitting in everything that needed to be done, getting my booster vaccine done and god knows what else, I finally found some time to sit down and relax for a little before Christmas Day. It was lovely being able to spend time with my family safely this year, but it also felt incredible surreal as well.

Now that I had a few days to relax after spending time with my family, it gave me a chance to look back on the year overall. With so much having happened throughout the year, I think it is safe to say I’ve certainly completed some personal achievements as well as overcome a number of challenges.

I then turned my attention to my hobbies, writing and of course blogging.

It has been a weird year. I moved this blog over to a proper domain, pushed myself more and explored a variety of different video games, topics and themes. Some of these I’ve written about here or have talked about it on social media. My drafts and various Google Docs have so many unfinished posts and ideas that I’ll hopefully be able to post those one day.

I won’t lie, there have been times when I’ve wanted to walk away and give up blogging all together, however, I pushed through those moments and here I am. Still chipping away and sharing my adventures in the world of video games, random thoughts, music and more!

Thinking about next year, I’m hoping to keep on blogging and exploring more games and themes. Maybe even expand more into the world of geek lifestyle, movies, television and more!

This year saw me start to create more The Sims related content over on The Sims Community this year. It’s been great fun working on such a variety of different content for the game, and I can’t wait to see where this content goes next year!

I’ve set myself a handful of goals for next year when it comes to writing, blogging and gaming in general. Some of these are the same as last year, and I’m really hoping to stick with them and work through them over the next year.

I’m excited to see what the next year has in store when it comes to gaming and so much more. There are so many great looking games lined up for release, and I’m excited to starting so many new adventures in the new year!
