Re-introducing LeeksPlays

There’s nothing wrong with a little re-introduction!

Back in January, I shared a little update saying that LeeksPlays was making some kind of return. At that precise moment in time and even now, I’m still not 100% sure how or what that return looks like.

Instead, I thought it would be best to reintroduce myself, the person who is behind this blog.

Who am I?

Well, I am Krista aka LeeksPlays. Prior to this, I was also known as Leekseverywhere. I’m a 90s kid based in the South of England.

As someone who grew up surrounded by video games, technology and geek culture, it continues to be a big part of my life all these years later.

You may also recognize or know me as one of the Sims Community Staff Members, or within the Simming community as SleepyCowplant!

What is this blog about?

Ultimately, this blog is a place to share my thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics that I am interested in. Primarily video games and technology. There are also times when I’ll review various video games or give my first impressions. I also like to share some of my favourite music, TV shows, movies and books that I’m enjoying too. Of course, I have to add in some cool and fun geek culture inspired merchandise such as Lego, Pop Vinyls and more. Something that I want to do more of in the future!

Future Plans?

As I mentioned at the start of this post and in my previous blog post, I am slowly returning to this blog after an unplanned hiatus last year. There’s still a lot to figure out and while I know I won’t be uploading as frequently as I was in the past, I want to keep this as something that is fun to do and enjoy.

What am I playing at the moment?

As I still play across a variety of platforms, I do tend to use my Nintendo Switch the most. Currently, I am playing through The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild! Progress is slow, but I’m really enjoying it!

What am I listening to at the moment?

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I listen mainly to a mix of Pop-Punk, Rock, Metal and K-Pop. As I’m writing this, I am currently listening to Lee Chae Yeon’s new mini album Over the Moon that released earlier today!

Krista, you said about reading too!

Yes, I’ve finally started reading again! While primarily I’m using my Kindle, I also picked up a rather interesting book called the Ship of Theseus a while ago! There’s just so much to digest in this book that it’s a little overwhelming at times, but in a good kind of way.

I’m also reading Your Name by Makoto Shinkai as my on the go book, which I’m also really enjoying at the moment too!

What next?

I’m hoping to post again soon and I’m still working out what that post will be about. However, in the short term, I’ll probably be returning to either reading more of Your Name or diving back into The Legend of Zelda!
