Oh, November. You have truly given me a pretty non-stop month!
Real life picked up a lot this month in various ways and as for work, well, it has been hectic and there’s no slowing down now as we head into December and the Christmas season. Any time that I’ve had spare, I’ve been balancing between video games and self-care.
So what have I been playing lately?
Animal Crossing New Horizons
I’m still slowly but surely keeping up to date with my villagers, revamping and tidying up my Island and just hanging out really. I’ve been trying to work on saving up Bells so that I can finish Harv’s Island and also finally upgrade my house again. It’s tough but I’m getting there slowly.
I’m still yet to play the Happy Home Paradise expansion. I was planning on doing so, but I got somewhat side tracked along the way. I wanted to try and get my Island where I wanted it to be before starting it, however, I will be jumping in to Happy Home Paradise next time I am on Animal Crossing New Horizons.

Forza Horizon 5
Oh, how I have missed just driving and exploring!
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying taking to the roads of Mexico in Forza Horizon 5. I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the game, as there is just so much to discover. I’ve mainly been trying to discover all the different roads, playing through the main story here and there, crashing a lot and taking lots of photos.
There’s just something about the Forza Horizon games that I love compared to other driving/racing games. I’m still trying to figure out specifically what that is but I guess as long as I’m having fun for the time being that’s what is important.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
I haven’t had as much time as I hoped to play the latest Pokémon game, but I’d like to say I’m making some good progress, despite it being slow. It has been lovely to revisit the games, I’m looking forward to spending more time with the game over the next few days.
One thing I was unsure of when the remakes were first revealed was the art style. I liked it, but I wasn’t sure. Now that I’ve had a chance to play the game, I actually love the art style. While it is different to what many of us know and love in the Pokémon games, I think it’s a nice change.
December is shaping up to be an incredibly busy month for many of us. I’m really not sure how I’m going to find the time for everything I want to do at the moment. I’m sure I’ll figure it out somehow though.
