We might only be halfway through January, but this year is already shaping up to be incredible when it comes to video games. So many games have previously been announced to come out this year, and I’m sure we’ll see even more announcements throughout the year.
The first game I’m looking forward to that is also coming out incredibly soon is Pokemon Legends Arceus. As a long-time fan of the franchise, it only feels right to take a look at the game. From the initial reveal of the game, I’ve been curious. The story, the direction, the art style, the new experiences players will have within the game, and more! With around a week and a half left until the game launches, I’m excited to jump in and start a new Pokemon adventure!
Next up, is Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the reasons why I purchased my PlayStation 4 and after playing the game a number of times, it was definitely a good investment. Despite the delays, Horizon Forbidden West has remained another game I’m looking forward to checking out. Joining Aloy on a new adventure in a new location is going to be so much fun!
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the next game I’m looking forward to. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing various Borderlands games over the years and Tiny Tina has always been a character that I’ve loved! Not only that, when the game was first revealed, I happened to join the live stream just as BABYMETAL’s song Gimme Chocolate was playing. After putting two and two together, it was the perfect match!
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, despite being delayed from last year, is still a game I’m definitely looking forward to playing. After growing up playing the games on Game Boy Advance, the nostalgia truly set in when the Nintendo Switch version was announced.
The last game I’m looking forward to this year is Stray. Now you may remember it as the upcoming PlayStation game where you play as a Cat. What more could you possibly want?
Of course, there are plenty of games coming out this year and some that we’ll hopefully find out some more information about too. Some of the other games I’m looking forward to is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel, DoKeV, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy XVI, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
And to think this year is only just getting started!
