January has been a slow but steady month. I’ve spent a lot of January catching up with family and friends after the Christmas and New Year period, I’m still trying to finish the last of the never-ending pile of leftover sweets and chocolate, I’ve tackled the January sales and taken some time for myself.
In my Reflections & Twenty-Twenty post about my goals for this year with my blog and a couple of other video game-related goals too. I’ve also changed up my schedule which so far is going well. It’s given me time to explore more games and work on more things behind the scenes.
The Sims 4 Tiny Living
The Sims 4 Tiny Living was released last week and I’ve loved jumping back into the game and building as many tiny homes as I can. I’ve always enjoyed building smaller homes for my Sims more than larger ones but with the tile restrictions, it’s really made me think about how I fill the space for my Sims more and more. Ultimately I’m having lots of fun coming up with new homes and actually playing The Sims 4 a bit more again.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore
Tokyo Mirage Sessions is a game that I knew existed on the Nintendo WiiU but I never really looked too much into the game and as a result, knew very little about it. In the run-up to the Nintendo Switch port being released, I kept seeing adverts for it everywhere and then the positive reaction and reviews once it was released. I had a little bit of Christmas money left over and decided to take a chance and pick up a copy. I’ve played around seven hours and really just taking my time but I’m really enjoying it more than I thought I would. I can’t really say too much about it so far as I know I’m only just chipping away at the surface of the game but I can’t wait to see what else this game has in store for me.
Death Stranding
I’m still slowly making my way through Death Stranding. I haven’t made a lot of progress over the last week or so but I’m getting there. I’ve mainly been focusing on the area I’m in and any side quests that I can complete before taking on the next area. I’m still really enjoying the game I just know it is going to be one of those games that will take me a very long time to complete and I’m actually okay with that.
February isn’t really filled with many plans at the moment except a trip to London towards the end of the month so it will be interesting to see how the coming month plays out. The Sims celebrates its twentieth birthday on the 4th February and I’m looking forward to the community celebrations and also what The Sims Team have planned for the celebrations. Other than that I’m going to be working through completing a few more games I’m currently playing and working on a few more bits and pieces in my spare time.
